Oulton hall wedding singer and dj – the dwight/sheard wedding

The first entry on my new blog feature is the wedding for the Dwight/Sheard partnership. Jenny and Joe were married on the 2nd of July 2016 and hired my Yorkshire Acoustic Wedding Singer and DJ services for their drinks reception, wedding breakfast and wedding evening celebration at the beautiful Oulton Hall in Leeds. They were married at St John’s Evangelist in Cleckheaton and then they made their way over for their Oulton Hall wedding.

I have to say that the food, decoration, staff and the general feel of Oulton Hall were absolutely perfect. Therefore, I would definitely recommend the venue to anyone! I may just nip back with my partner for a meal and cocktails in the near future.  The food was ridiculously nice and the cocktail menu was vast! What’s not to like?!

The first dance was performed to David Gray’s ‘This Year’s Love’ and was incredibly moving. The bride and groom looked as if they felt like the only people in the room. It was very touching – even to an old salt like me! These are the moments that really stand out for me as a wedding singer!

The evening finished with a very lively disco that went on until 1:30 in the morning! A beautiful couple and a beautiful day.

Jenny and Joe hired me to play acoustic guitar and sing at the wedding drinks reception, provide some gentle accompanying music for the wedding breakfast and to finish the evening with a wedding DJ service. I was more than happy to provide some extra services on the day when asked by the guests. I provided some boxer-style entrance music to the father of the groom’s speech! He took to the stage to the Rocky movie classic – Eye Of The Tiger!

Next I quickly downloaded two traditional Irish dancing musical pieces for an impromptu dance performance by one of the younger guests! I was also able to provide Andy Dracup, the filmographer with an audio feed from my equipment. Therefore, he had perfect audio for his videos of the day. All in a day’s work!
